Cameron Norrie is through to the quarter-finals of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, after the No 10 seed notched a 6-2 6-4 win over Andrey Rublev.
2021 champion Norrie booked his slot at the quarter-finals in the Coachella Valley for the third consecutive year, winning his 12th game of 13 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garde.
Norrie stretched his 2023 win-loss record to an impressive 21-3 with the victory, and improves to 2-2 against Rublev.
The 27-year-old needed just 75 minutes to see off the Russian and claim an eighth successive win with one of his best performances of the season to date.
Norrie beat world No 2 Carlos Alcaraz to secure Rio Open glory last month, will face either American Frances Tiafoe or Chile's Alejandro Tabilo in the last eight.
In a match which started with three successive service breaks, it was the Briton who took the initiative to race into a 3-1 lead, breaking for a third time to give himself the chance to close out the first set.
The British No 1 converted all five break points he saw on the day, and struck 16 winners against 11 unforced errors.
